Students Learn and Explore at Bimbo Bakeries USA

Recently, students from Chester, PA’s Chester Charter Scholars Academy visited Bimbo Bakeries USA’s Conshohocken Sales Center for a ‘Learn and Explore Workshop’. During their, visit the students toured the Sales Center, learned how their favorite BBU products get from our bakeries to store shelves and heard from BBU leaders who gave an overview of the company and spoke about their roles and the different career opportunities available to the students in the future.

The Learn and Explore Workshop is part of the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s iAM Project, an initiative that seeks to level the playing field for high school students from low-income backgrounds in Chester, PA – home to the Philadelphia Union. Through the iAM Project, students hear from a network of inspirational speakers, are matched with academic and professional mentors and create links to industries, universities and internships. As part of the iAM project, students are invited to various Learn and Explore Workshops to hear from different companies and speakers to better understand different industries and the type of education and experience required.

“We are so proud to partner with the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s iAM Project and look forward to serving as mentors with these bright and talented students over the next few years,” said Dana Connors, Vice President, Corporate Affairs.

As the long-time Philadelphia Union jersey sponsor, Bimbo Bakeries USA is proud to not only support their hometown team and their initiatives, but also passionate about making an impact in the Chester community.
